The Industrial Modernisation Programme has provided different services in the areas of promoting the Egyptian exports to the number of 1406 exporters receiving 2464 services during the year 2009 through the following activities:
Participating in the International Specialized Exhibitions:
Organizing the Egyptian pavilion in 79 international specialized exhibitions in the different industrial sectors such as the ready-made garments, home furnishings, processed food, agricultural products, furniture, engineering industries, leather products, medical equipments, chemical industries and building materials in the following markets:
• European Union • GCC • USA
• Central Asia • COMESA
Organization of Trade Missions:
The implementation of 9 trade missions with a total number of 1432 invited international buyers to import from Egypt and in order to open markets in the United States, the European Union and African countries for the sectors of textiles, leather, food industries, and agro products, health, furniture and building materials.
The programme has also performed a questionnaire to measure the impact of services provided to the Egyptian exporters on their exports, which resulted in an anticipated exports of more than 7,500
million EGP.
