Productivity Enhancement and Lean Enterprise Programme

Objectives:
The objective of this programme is to increase productivity and reduce costs at all levels within the organization, eliminating waste and ensure sustainability of continuous improvement interventions.


Description:
A comprehensive approach that allows companies to maximize benefit from productivity enhancement and Lean projects for all categories of companies.
Services under this programme could be classified into three different categories. Each category represents different maturity level for the organization as follows:


Category 1 (small companies):
The scope of this category will be offered to companies with no or very basic knowledge of productivity enhancement and Lean tools. The purpose of this phase is to assist companies to start the transformation journey and avoid the intimidation of large complex projects.

This will include:

  • Introduction of Lean tools and creating awareness
  • Intensive training and coaching
  • Implementation by applying Lean tools and creating follow up teams

It is anticipated that this project will take from 6 to12 months based on the size and the sector of the
beneficiary company.


Category 2 (Medium & Large companies):
The scope of this category will be offered to companies that possess previous comprehensive knowledge of productivity enhancement and Lean tools. This category will include:

  • Implementation of advanced Lean tools
  • Advanced quality planning and statistical analysis
  • Error proofing, production leveling and line balancing
  • Introduction of the strategic foundation (Mission, Vision, etc) and advanced problem solving

It is anticipated that this project will take from 12 to15 months based on the size and the sector of the beneficiary company.

Category 3 (Large Companies):
The scope of this category will be offered to organizations that reached a higher maturity level of implementing productivity enhancement and advanced Lean projects. Those organizations who are
seeking to implement Lean Enterprise culture to reach a Lean Enterprise among all operations. The companies should have programs implemented for corporate governance. Decision-making in such companies should be transparent and they should have experts who have power to develop and modify
company's bylaws.

This will include:

  • Constraint management
  • Lean accounting
  • Lean in product design
  • Six Sigma project and Supply Chain Management
  • Integrated Management Systems and Preparation for Lean international awards.

It is anticipated that this project will take from 12 to15 months based on the size and the sector of the beneficiary company.

Target Companies:
The framework of this programme and related services will be provided to companies that seek to apply productivity improvement systems and lean production culture, regardless of company's size (small, medium or large) or the sector to which it belongs. Expected Impact (Outcome)
