National Policy Support Programme
The IMC National Policy Support Programme is assisting the Ministry of Trade and Industry in
implementing Egypt's Industrial Development Strategy (IDS). According to this strategy, the industrial
sector is positioned to be the engine of growth, employment creation and export development with the
objective of deepening Egypt's integration into the global economy as a competitive player.

Project Management Office (PMO)
Following the completion of the IDS, the IDS sectors prioritization and development industrial policies,
IMC set up a Project Management Office (PMO): to monitor the implementation of sector-specific
recommendations creating a mechanism for updating recommendations according to the global and
domestic developments and preparing new strategic direction according to the priorities of industrial
community.

Studies and Policy Support Unit (SPSU) The SPSU works closely with the Industrial Community representatives in developing strategies and studies to create a jump shift in the performance of the different sectors and generate a positive impact on the industry at large. In this regard, SPSU utilizes top-notch international and local consultancy offices with extensive expertise in the field of industry to put forward genuine development targets and implementable plans. In this context, the SPSU has finalized a series of Sector Development Strategies for various sectors that include: Textile and Ready Made Garments, Food Processing, Leather Industries, Agriculture Industries, Jewellery and Pharmaceutical industries. This is in addition to a variety of horizontal studies that tackle across-sectoral issues.
