Industrial Training Component Program

Enhancing industrial sector personnel skills, and focusing on training and ongoing development for the human element is the most significant way towards a more advanced and competitive industry that requires professional and skilled labor. Therefore, the Training Component programs have been developed to minimize the gap of the skilled labor at the industrial sector. It also focuses on upgrading the training system and the industrial sector personnel, as well as building international and local partnerships to enhance human element competencies according to international standards, along with creating decent job opportunities for Egyptian labor.

 

TC goals

  • Training current and new labor force, according to the skills gaps identified by the employer.
  • Reducing training costs and qualifying individuals through identification and fulfillment of needed skills without resorting to the need to enroll in full-time programs.
  • Enhancing companies’ capacity to compete in terms of the quality of their outputs, and prices domestically and internationally, as a result of their labor force’s technical, practical and behavioral commitment.
  • Reducing accidents and idle hours and their negative impacts on individuals, production or equipment, resulting in costs related to treatment, indemnification, defective production or equipment repair. This is all about the outcome of training, particularly that is focusing on safety and occupational health.

 

To enroll into the TC programs, the following conditions should be met:

  • The company is registered and active at IMC database
  • Communication should be through the IMC branch at which the company is registered. A training needs assessment service request should be submitted.
  • An IMC team should conduct a company training needs assessment
  • A training needs assessment report and a training plan developed following IMC and company endorsement
  • Training programs included in the endorsed training plan should be implemented upon the company request
  • The company should pay its cost share in training as per the IMC applicable rules.
  • IMC covers the remaining training cost to the training provider selected
  • IMC staff follows up on the training program to ensure quality standards and to measure training impact three months after the training completion.

Skill Development Program (SDP)

This service focuses on upgrading existing labor skills and raising the industrial sector’s awareness on the significance of investment in labor being one of the important resources inside the industrial enterprise. This will be achieved through ongoing improvement courses aiming to raising labor productivity via training on technologies and state-of-the-art equipment. Additionally, labors will be provided with technical updates and knowledge on profession ethics, end product quality improvement, raw material waste, cost reduction as well as reducing occupational injuries and deaths, resulting in higher competitiveness and maximization for company productivity at the international and local levels.

 

Training for Qualifying and Employment Program (TQEP)

This service has a double-fold impact for both industrial enterprises and job seekers. It focuses on providing trained and qualified labor to meet the industrial enterprises’ needs. On the other hand, it strives to secure opportunities for job seekers at the industrial sector. It further enumerates and studies the skilled labor needs of industrial enterprises, hence; it helps attract a new generation of skilled workers as per the labor market’s actual needs. The result is a closer link between the private sector, the civil society and job seekers that helps reduce unemployment, and increase competitiveness with highly skilled workers. The service also helps monitor and assess labor as well as provides trainings through endorsed training providers in advanced technical fields in the industrial sector.

 

National Skills Standard Programs (NSSP)

The service focuses on providing training on skill standards benchmarked to international standards and allow beneficiaries to meet the requirements of industrial enterprises for a workforce recognized for its professional, scientific and behavioral levels and respond quickly to methods of industrial, production and service development. It helps prepare skill standards for different professions and Trades, by achieving practical and technical participation of business owners and experts to prepare Functional Maps. In addition to benchmark current qualifications with international standards, in order to provide the required work force according to what employers have identified. Moreover, to secure access to training units to raise the skill and productivity of workers according to the need and requirements of their jobs. In addition, to add new skills and training units required as per their responsibilities and duties as decided by the employer.
