Within the framework of cooperation between the Industrial Modernisation Centre and the British Council to support the creative, social and technological economy to improve the lives of members of society, which was the launch of the Inclusive and Creative Economies Program in 2018 to encourage the creative and social economy and culminated in the victory of a group of young men and women,

The Industrial Modernisation Centre, the British Council and the Federation of Egyptian Industries signed a new three-year Memorandum of Understanding in the “Development of Inclusive and Creative Economies” programme.

During the speech of the Executive Director of the Industrial Modernisation Centre, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Karim, "he stated that the beneficiaries of the project over the past three years amounted to more than 50 entrepreneurs, 60 product designers and 300 Egyptian craftsmen, and the benefits for all participants varied between design competitions, capacity-building programs, skills development, and professional and financial guidance at the highest level.”

Elizabeth White, Director of the British Council in Egypt, welcomed the signing of the new memorandum of understanding and the continuation of cooperation between the Industrial Modernisation Centre, the British Council and the Federation of Egyptian Industries, stressing that the program has supported, over the past three years, more than 750 young innovators.

The Memorandum of Understanding that was signed seeks to start a new journey in supporting projects that enable youth and people with disabilities to develop startups that are at risk due to the impact of the coronavirus and other obstacles.
