The Industrial Modernisation Centre celebrates the students of October University for Modern Sciences participating in the development of design concepts and the Back Designer competition

Within the framework of the fruitful cooperation between the Industrial Modernisation Centre and October University for Modern Sciences to modernize and develop design concepts, which are an essential focus for many industries, the Design Project Awards Ceremony and Back Designer Competition were held at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts in the presence of the Executive Director of the Industrial Modernisation Centre Eng. Mohamed Abdel Karim, University President Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid, Dean of the College of Art and Design, Dr. Tarek Saleh, and President of the Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industry Eng. Ahmed Gaber.
And from his side, the President of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid, welcomed the cooperation between the university and the Industrial Modernisation Centre and to help students with practical reality after studying and to provide them with the appropriate work opportunity, expressing his hope for cooperation between the two sides in various disciplines to support the various industrial sectors.
In his speech during the celebration, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Karim said, "The students of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts winning the first prizes in the Back Designer competition in its two previous editions, and the meetings that took place between students, professors and company representatives were a rich experience for all parties."
Abdul Karim explained that the students' outputs were not inferior in efficiency and accuracy to the outputs of professional design companies in this field, and that the students' skills contributed to the companies' conviction of the value of what the university's sons produced.
Eng. Mohamed Abdel Karim continued, "We at the centre have started steps to generalize this activity on all industrial sectors for which the center provides its services, and that by next May, he hopes to see more innovations by students of the College of Art and Design in developing product packaging designs or designing websites."
While the head of the Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industry, Eng. Ahmed Gaber, expressed his aspiration to increase cooperation with the Industrial Modernisation Centre, October University for Modern Sciences and the Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industry during the coming period, in a way that contributes to support this industrial sector.
Over the course of two years, the project helped students from October University of Modern Sciences to come up with 300 designs in the field of product packaging and branding for a number of small and medium-sized companies in the food sector.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Karim discussed with university leaders the ways of cooperation between the Industrial Modernisation Centre and October University for Modern Sciences and Arts to help students keep pace with the requirements of the labor market, especially in the various industrial sectors.
