يقدم مركز تحديث الصناعة الدعم لمشروعات البحوث والتطوير وذلك بالتعاون مع وزارة الدولة للبحث العلمى بهدف تطوير ورفع القدرة التنافسية للمنتج المصرى وابتكار طرق جديدة لحل مشاكل الصناعة بالاضافة الى تطبييق التكنولوجيا الحديثة فى مختلف المجالات الصناعية. وحتى الآن تم الموافقة على تمويل 60 مشروع بحثى فى مختلف القطاعات الصناعية بتكلفة اجمالية 42 مليون جنية.
